As we entered the March break we were working on addition strategies.
Playing games and singing songs that practise these strategies are good ways for children to improve on their addition skills. The most important thing I always focused on was making sure that we are thinking about the math strategy we are practising while we are playing. I took some time this weekend to check out a few online math resources. One of the resources is Zorbit's Math Adventure. They are currently offering a free at home learning kit for students from Kindergarten to Grade 3. It is available as an App on Apple devices or can be played on a laptop, desktop or computer. A new page has been created containing math apps for both Apple and Android along with games that can be played on a computer, laptop or chromebook.
